About Kenneth Young Center
Kenneth Young Center (KYC) is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit that helps people feel good, do better, and find solutions. Established in 1970 (then the Elk Grove-Schaumburg Township Mental Health Center), KYC provides services focused on prevention, intervention, and crisis intervention to clients of all ages.

KYC is proud to offer over 25 behavioral health and older adult services and programs. KYC is a comprehensive provider of mental health and senior citizens’ support services through:
- Counseling for adults, children, and families.
- Assessment, stabilization, and linkage for adults/children in psychiatric crisis.
- Treatment, support, and recovery services for people with serious mental illness.
- Service coordination and in-home services for frail elderly persons.
- Volunteer opportunities.
