The Cook County Board of Commissioners will no longer require unincorporated Cook County residents to display physical vehicle stickers starting July 1st, 2019. Residents are still obligated to pay the vehicle tax. The Department of Revenue (DOR) will send tax notices with the amount due for the annual license and are encouraging residents to pay online. You can also pay by mail or in-person at either the DOR or one of the participating ELS currency exchange locations. Although the County has decided Townships will no longer assist with the new sticker-less system, the Township’s Clerk’s Office will continue to share information and answer questions concerning stickers.
