Honoring a Veteran

If you know a veteran or you are a veteran and would like to be recognized for your service to our country, please fill out an application and return it to the Clerk's Office with your DD-214 record.


Eligibility Requirements:

  • Served during a time of conflict
  • Honorable Discharge
  • Reside within Schaumburg Township
  • DD-214 Form
  • Completed Veteran Honor Roll Application

Application Process

All applications will be accepted and reviewed by our Veterans Honor Roll Committee. Applicants will be contacted by the Schaumburg Township Clerk’s Office by mail with a formal invite indicating a date and time of our next Veterans Honor Roll we would like you to attend

All honorees are encouraged to bring family and friends to the evenings honor roll.  Clerk Heneghan and the Board of Trustees will introduce you by rank, name, military branch and years served.  Please make sure your application is complete.  The more information you can provide regarding your time in service would be helpful in formally honoring you for your service to our country.

You may request a copy of your DD-214 form by filling out form SF-180 Request for Military Records or visiting www.archives.gov.
