The Vernon A. Laubenstein
Schaumburg Township Town Hall

The new Town Hall dedicated on June 14, 1997 was re-dedicated on July 23, 1997 as the Vernon A. Laubenstein Schaumburg Township Town Hall. The Board of Trustees passed an ordinance renaming the building in his honor, in part, for his service as Supervisor for more than 29 years. Vern was deeply committed to improving the the lives of those in the township who were less fortunate than most of us.

After the December 18 meeting of the Board of Trustees, and with the Laubenstein family present, the new dedication plaque on the outside of the building entrance was unveiled. In addition, the Ordinance describing the renaming of the Town Hall along with a photograph of Vern was unvieled. This photograph with the Ordinance describing the reasons for the re-dedication will remain on permanent display in the lobby of the Vernon A. Laubenstein Schaumburg Township Town Hall.
