Northwest Community Hospital (NCH) Community Health Nurse Josephine Gould (Josie), RN, provides health and wellness services Tuesday - Thursday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Walk-ins are seen Tuesday & Thursday from 9 AM to 1:00 PM. Each Thursday, our senior lunch & bingo attendees can stop in and see Josie between 11:00 AM and 12:00 p.m. for a free blood pressure screening.
Josie has been a registered nurse for over 35 years and provides educational programs, facilitates support groups and tend to those in need of care and resources including:
- Diabetes Support Group - Meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Type I, Type II, and pre-diabetics are welcome for various topic discussions. Download the flyer here.
- Blood Pressure Screening - Offered every week for bingo players on Thursday, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. All township residents can be screened Tuesday - Thursday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in room #102.
- A1C Diabetes Testing - The A1c is a finger stick, non-fasting blood test that measures your average blood sugar level over the past two to three months. There is a $12.00 fee. All township residents can be screened Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday by appointment only. Download the flyer here.
