Adopt-a-Family Program

The General Assistance office is sponsoring the "Adopt-a-Family" program this holiday season.  Last year, more than 400 seniors, persons with disabilities, and low-income families received gifts provided by knidhearted community groups and individuals.
If you are interested in adopting a family this year, the General Assistance office will provide you with the ages of children in the family you adopt, or with gift suggestions for a senior citizen or disabled individual.  If you prefer, you may participate in the Adopt-a-Family program by simply dropping off gift certificates from grocery stores, Target or Wal-Mart, or gasoline gift cards.  Call the General Assistance office at (847) 884-0030 ext. 1014 to register as a donor by November 4, or for further information about adopting a family.
