Senior Property Exemptions Information
Schaumburg Township senior residents will have until February 5, 2014 to renew their application for the senior citizen property tax exemption. For more information, please read our media release here.
The Senior Citizen Tax Deferral Program allows seniors to defer as much as $5,000 of their property tax bill every year. To qualify for the deferal program, seniors must have an annual household income of less than $55,000, have equity in their homes that exceeds the sum of property taxes deferred, and have in lived in their home for at least 3 years. Applications for this program must be received no later than March 1, 2014. For more information, please read our media release here.

The mission of the Assessor’s office is to assist Schaumburg Township residents with accurate and prompt service. Our office utilizes computerized software linked to the Cook County Assessor’s records, allowing staff to access information on properties within Schaumburg Township.
